When booking with my "mysterious client" that we shall call "Charlie", I was so excited. Charlie has to know that she is gorgeous and be comfortable in her own skin. One of the most athletic bodies that I have ever shot, and any women would be jealous of the minimal amount of editing I did.
As I started shooting, Charlie was amazing to work with, down to do anything I asked to get the best shot, even if it sounded crazy. After shooting half of our session I showed Charlie some of the raw photos I had taken on the back of the camera, and she was hating anything that had her face in it. I couldn't wrap my head around someone who thought negative things about something I saw so beautiful. Coming from a mom of 2 daughters I can't say that I say nice things about my body either.
After going home and editing, I started to realized it does not matter how beautiful you think someone else is, they will always see something they don't like about themselves. It was a glaring effect of "the grass is not always greener on the other side" thought. I believe that women should love every part of themselves. Don't compare, just see the beauty Charlie <3
