These days it feels like everything has been done with weddings. So in this post, I’m going to talk about 5 ideas to make your wedding different. Everyone wants to be orginal and thinks they had done it first but however you look at it, let it be perfect for YOU and YOUR PARTNER.
1. First look with your Dad (or someone else really special in your life)
The first look is a new trend over the last 10 years or so, know to be with your partner, which is so special dont get me wrong. What if you wanted to keep the tradition alive but also switch it up. I personally had a first look with my dad and I was more of a mess than him Haha! This is also a great way to get both the Groom and Father of the bride reactions if you do not have a second shooter.
2. Have your center peices all made by different local Artists
After art school I have a ton of artist friends that make beautiful work and for my wedding, I thought what better way for them to show off their work! I let them be free to showcase anything that would fit on the table. It was amazing to see what my friends had come up with and every table was unique. And also less stress of you, you didnt have to make them yourself!
3. Honeymoon Fund
Listen, I know it's not 1880 and brides aren't moving in with there partners for the first time after getting married......so why does aunt mae need to get me a third toaster? If your guests were going to spend the money anyways, why not put it in a pool to go to a dream location! 4. Food tour around the world
Umm who's a foodie?! Cause I am! I would say are you a wine-o but that sounds bad 🤣 I love food and could not contain my excitement for my wedding. You could do a spread of all your favorite foods from different cultures. Italian, thai, chinese, Japanese, Mexican, the possibilities are endless if your not trying to match flavors. Give your guests a tour around the world of your favorites (including wine!)
5. A different color wedding dress
White is the color of purity but now-a-days who is? Another switch up, by unpopular opinion, may be a colored wedding dress. This has obviously been done before but why not make everyone else where white and your the only splash of color. Way to make a splash in in the world! 😂Haha sorry guys I had to make that corny comment!
