As most know, my family and I went to Texas to visit family and have some adventures. Being a Maine Photographer, and living most of my life in Maine, coming to Texas was a deffiant change. My Husbands family lives in Killeen which is about 30 minutes outside of Waco........so you know what that means! We had to pay a visit to Chip and Joana Gains, Magnolia Silos.
I was determined to get at least one photo of my girls and I together that was genuinely us.......and that's what I got......1. Typical! So we decided to dress the part, which isn't too hard for my girls as they love dressing up.
When getting to the Silos, I was actually impressed that parking was significant and not 10 miles away from where we wanted to be. Monroe prior to coming had watched Fixer-upper with me and seen the episode where they fix up the Bakery and have the big reveal. So naturally her first stop was to get a cupcake!
It was fairly busy for a Thursday but not something we couldn't handle. Guys when I say that this was the best cupcake I've ever had, that should be something coming from a girl who has pretty much been on the thick side most of her life 😂.
The magnolia store made me want to remodel my whole house. It's almost like I was willing to remodel the kitchen over a beautiful candle stick or cake stand. Beware it's dangerous! I almost felt unworthy to possess these things! It's amazing how simple things can be so elegant.
The court yard was a great area to have some relaxing time while eating from the multiple food trucks. They offer lawn games and space to play. There are gardens of flowers and fruits and vegetables, in front of their gardening market. Everything there is a photo op! We had so much fun, and looked cute while doing it haha.
I can dream all I want but with my busy crazy life, my house will most likely never resemble the Magnolia Silo look. I enjoyed it while we were there though, I would recommend this if your in the Central Texas area for sure ya’ll! Meet you there next April!
xoxo
